August 2026

  • Faster, more reliable 3D loading
    • 3D characters and environments load significantly faster
    • Assets are now delivered compressed, reducing download sizes
    • Loaded assets are cached and reused, so revisits and repeat sessions load quicker
    • Upcoming scenes preload in the background so they are ready before learners reach them
    • More resilient loading when a 3D asset is slow to download or fails
    • Fixed a memory leak related to asset prefetching
    • Characters now render correctly in front of transparent scene effects
  • Voices load faster - published module voices are now prefetched and cached for quicker playback
  • New characters and environments are available for modules using the 'Experimental (Beta)' Asset Pipeline
    • 20+ characters added to the library
    • Two environments: Executive Office and Home Office
    • Refreshed hair across many characters, with cleaner edges
    • Updated character clothing textures (lab coat and shirt)
  • AliveSim Studio authoring improvements
    • Module Info in the Content Library now shows clearer information and error messages
    • Return Links now preserve HTML formatting instead of stripping it out
    • Updated Return Link behavior at the end of a simulation
    • Likert / Table question scoring now counts only non-ignored choices in the star ratings
    • Fixed hover behavior on the Character Preview panel

  • Learners can now pause a simulation at any point
  • AI Voice authoring improvements:
    • Upgraded AI voice engine delivering more realistic and expressive audio
    • Ability to retake voice lines
    • Voices now have filters
    • Power users can can provide custom AI prompts to voices for more control
      • A universal prompt a the voice level
      • A dialogue section prompt via a right-click on the dialogue block header
      • A prompt per line via a right-click on the dialogue line
    • AI Voices in previously published modules remain locked and will not be affected by these voice updates
  • New beta characters and environments are available for module's using the 'Experimental (Beta)' Asset Pipeline

December 2025

  • Visual fixes to Main Menu with relation to Return Links and Credit
  • Cosmetic upgrades to visuals during scenario countdown
  • Some Content Library areas were cleaned up
  • A link back to a website can be added to the end of a module (Return Link)
  • Interface for adding Modules to a Group is easier
  • Translation System Upgraded
    • New Modules can be assigned a Base Language
    • Module interface for Base Languages is automatically translated
  • AliveSim Studio accounts utilize a user's Name for their Profile
  • Comment button hitbox is smaller to prevent accidental pushes
  • Reordering scenarios post build being made works as intended
  • Orb colors in the Content area are defined with a text label: Red, Yellow, or Green

  • Individual analytics added
    • Each learner's module score and scenario scores are captured, including retries
    • Each learner journey is captured, including suboptimal and inappropriate decisions before an optimal option was recognized. Plus, the results of knowledge questions
    • New 'Individual Performance Analytics' download button added
  • Scoring system updated - it's more dynamic now.
    • Score is based on maximum score available at current location in scenario.
    • Knowledge questions now affect score
    • Discovered items no longer add to score (scoring animation removed as well)
    • Score can go negative (although not visually represented)
  • Other items
    • Red orb bouncing animation is calmed down
    • Analytics Overview PDF download button removed

  • Account tab is now accessible
    • Active Users can be seen, by Group
  • Groups tab is now accessible
    • Groups can be created
      • Group access can be controlled by the Allowlist
      • Analytics permissions can be granted per Group
    • Modules can be added (published) to Groups
    • Modules in a Group can be accessed through a URL by those on the Allowlist of the Group
  • Analytics tab is now accessible
    • Analytics can be accessed for published Modules
  • At least 1 Secondary Dissent Dialogue is required to make a Final Build. This ensures module a will not stop if the same decision option is chosen again.

August 2024

  • In Setup, Zones can be dragged and dropped into a Scene without any Zones yet
  • If the Info Content for a whole Decision is left blank, the info "i" icon doesn't show in the Module
  • Cloning a Module now maintains all the permissions of that Module
  • Multiple email addresses for Module Permissions can be added simultaneously
  • Inside the Status Panel Buttons section of the Content Library, using the 'Always display previous content below' checkbox for a button is working as intended. It shows the history of previous text below the most current content.
  • Modules can now be Locked Down, and a Final Build can be created
